With the help of this group and our very special PMRPRo I decided to stay on prednisone and will look to take a synacthen Test before I think Of switching anything. My wonderful New Jersey rheumatologist agrees. Seems like this endocrinologist has decided my adrenals are never coming back and so he prescribed this drug to make life easier for me. Wrong. Just took my 8.5 mg of prednisone. Thank you all.

Result! You are not the first to make that decision 're adrenal. All you are doing is taking "natural" dose. Glad your rheumy agreed. I would follow your example if I was in same position. 🌻
