Coping with vaginal discomfort

UTI's and discomfort in the vagina have been a cross to bear for the last few years as a complication of polymyalgia but at last I think I have found something to help although I have said this before and then succumbed again. This is a vaginal moisturiser called YESVM which is all organic and rehydrates the tissues so that they are less susceptible to infection. It is available on the NHS. I felt better as soon a I started and have had it for 3 weeks now. So fingers crossed I won't deteriorate again. All our pooled knowledge is such a boon.

You might laugh at me but what I use is Organic coconut butter, it is pure and cheap. Don’t buy the product without smell that quality is inferior .

Interesting, rarely discussed issue that may be an issue for more of us than we know.

Thanks for bringing it up!

There are recommendations for coping with interstitial cystitis that might be useful to you.

I noticed early on with my PMR journey that I could no longer drink citrus teas or spicy teas. I've never suffered with UTIs or cystitis, but definitely had new sensitivity. I assume it was part of the skin thinking that hit me with Pred.

Good luck.

Yes I agree that anything at al citrus, also herbal teas, alcohol, fizzy water, spices, acid foods and so the list goes on! However it's all worth it to feel comfortable:)
