I was so looking forward to making and eating them, got the lemon, blueberries and ice-cream then completely forgot to make them.... I had a brain foggy day yesterday.😩I blame the PMR,I did a LOT of walking Monday as it was a lovely ☀️sunny day and so was washed out yesterday.🙄

Never mind, you can always have them another day!!

Soooo irritating. Brain fog strikes again. I end up with something in the fridge that goes off before I eat it. I buy frozen berries now. Hope you get to enjoy.

And kept the carbs down! Success!

I'd rather the blueberries and icecream anyway. Though I did make pancakes...

I'm not a huge fan of ice cream really, unless it's Italian gelato obviously, eaten in Italy!! (in May!!)

Our local wondergelatoshop only closes for January. Their crema catalana (creme brulee icecream) is to die for. I had one last week while walking to the station :-)

I’m vacationing in Charleston and have been going carb crazy....chocolate cake, pizza, and bread are just a few of my indulgences! I’ll get back on the wagon when I go home. It sure feels good to get off the program!

Thanks! I’m doing just that! It took me 8 months to let up a lot. Before that I was very controlled with my diet. Second 🍕 since diagnosis. First time was last week when I had a date I didn’t like...ate a whole personal pizza while chatting with him! Had night shade fear prior to that and I tolerated it well!

Ohhhh, pizza has been calling my name. I’m having a serious craving for it. I think I’m going to have to find a place where I can buy a single slice. If you run into any shrimp and grits while in Charleston, have some for me. Enjoy!

IMHO grits are one dish that thoroughly live up to their name...

Hahaha! I had shrimp and grits for the first time a few years ago while in Charlotte, North Carolina. I loved them so much that if at home alone, I would have licked the bowl. When i got back home I must have raved about those grits so much that a few weeks later I received a package in the mail that contained 2 pounds of grits with the message “Hope they are so delicious that you want to lick the bowl”. Took me a while to figure out who sent them — My brother who lives a few states away. He rarely uses the computer since he retired, but his wife said he logged on and ordered them. I had to google to see their carb amt. No grits for me for awhile.

Insight329 I got your telepathic message yesterday! Had shrimp and grits for the first time at Hominy Grill. Also had chocolate pudding ( a very big taste) which was on the best thing I ever ate food show.

Last time I was in Charleston I bought 2 bags of grits which I finished since November. Became addicted which my Dr. said was from the Pred. Cereal never appealed to me pre PMR now I have it daily. Lucky I only weigh 107! Probably 110 or more after this trip! Worth every bite!

They are soooo good. I've had them since, but they weren't like those that I got in Charlotte. Those Southern ladies sure know how to cook.

Insight 329- I am so with you on the pizza craving thing, but have been rabidly committed to no/low carbs. Just last night had my first ever zucchini crust pizza (made it myself no less🤣) and it was delish!! Thrilled to find fun food in this crazy land of PMR lifestyle changes. Hope you give the zucchini crust a try. :) Happy eating!
