No more tons o tablets

My GP has just increased my pred to 6mg a day (only 2 tabs), because my esr and crp were raised. That'll teach me to complain about having to take four x 1mg tablets a day. :-)

Haha! You know what they say....more than one way to skin a rabbit!

But I’m sorry you’ve had to increase. Are you feeling an increase in symptoms to go with raised markers?

Yes, Soraya I was but was trying to ignore them. I feel so much better on 6mg. Will have to be more patient.

Good (that you feel better).

Patience is a hard one to learn, I’m rubbish at it, not in my nature! But my bum’s been bitten by the PMR reminder that it’s still here.

At one point I had to take 12x5mg of Pred while waiting for results of biopsy for GCA. By the time I got prescription changed to 20mg pills and found a chemist that actually stocked them,I got biopsy results and told to go back to 15mg. Seemed a long few weeks. These little things are sent to try us 😌

Never mind - it is still a physiological dose, less then your body makes anyway.

But have you actually got symptoms?

Yes, I was definitely more achy and stiff. Since increasing to 6mg, have felt a whole lot better. Think I was trying to ignore the aches in the dizzy excitement of being down to 4mg. .

Not what you're looking for?
