Vaccinations

Hi all is it ok to be around someone who has had an hepatitis A injection ? While im on prednisolone down to 12 and half daily .Ive read that it is an inactive injection ??? I will be spending the day with my niece tomorrow b4 she goes off traveling and shes having the jab first thing in morning so kinda need to know asap ..thanks if anyone knows pls x

Hello,

The usual Hep A vaccines used in the UK are not live so you won’t catch anything from it. Also, Hep A is a disease that is caught via the faecal-oral route, ie contaminated food and water, not by air or touch.
