Actemra shot side effect

I have had 10 shots if Actemra snd today I noticed a lot of tenderness in the stomach where the shots are taken. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi Leeleep,

I am also on Actemra/Tocilizumab and have had about ten shots (still is scary but I do it). I do not have any tenderness in the stomach area where I give myself the shot. I have had a bruise/black and blue mark two times, but I bruise very easily now. It does not have any negative effects so far. I hope this helps.

Are you tapering the prednisone?

I have had 7 infusions and have switched to injections...but only having my second injection on Friday. I gave myself the first one in my upper thigh...sounded more palatable than the stomach😊
