GCA or not?

I am shuffling from rheumatologist to opthomologist to neurosurgeon to get diagnosis. Several symptoms of GCA so on 40 mg prednisone but neurosurgeon has ordered 2 separate MRIs of brain to rule out other possibilities. My main concern is vision problems as I can cope with other symptoms. Will write after tests.

Prednisone to 40 mg immediately because of double vision. I think neurosurgeon is being overly cautious with MRIs but will let you know results in mid Nov.

I was giving 14 pills called Co-Fluconazole 100mg to clear it up but they do not seem to be working..I have 1 pill left and don't feel any results. The Doctor that have them to me know's nothing about me however, the Family Doctor that I had is moved to United States and with him he did not know to much about me EAITHER because,I only had him 10 months before he left and also did not look into my Illness EAITHER. I had to request a scope for my throat and Blood Test. Only for my Test to come back and no one there to read off what is going on with me. The Doctor that did give me those pills only looked at my Test results because,I demanded that he needs to read it because,It's Important.! He was not to Intrested of what was written on it EAITHER because,He was quick to send me off without any explanation of my Illness. I'm still having a bunch of symptoms and am in desperate need of a specialist who will take the time and understand this nightmare I'm going threw.

Caroleigh, are you having problems with your vision?

Yes I been sick now for 3 years and within the 3 years I got glasses for the first time 3 years ago and then just got another prescription for a new pair that is stronger. It's strange you mention that because,my vision used to be excellent

To clear what up? I've never heard of co-fluconazole - and fluconazole is a medication used for yeast infections, not for GCA.

However - I've just had a quick look at your profile page - you have landed in the wrong forum. You have espophageal candidiasis, this is a forum for polymylagia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis, forms of vasculitis. No-one here will be able to offer any suggestions.

I do have PMR and possible GCA and do not have any knowledge of co-fluconazole. Apparently there was a mix up somewhere (probably those Russians again😹
