Hi, does anyone have the link to the EU recently published guidelines for the treatment of GCA? If so can you send the link or post it? I have an appointment with a leading expert in GCA at Stanford today and would like to take a printout. Thanks in advance.

As far as I am aware, they have not been published yet, they are at the BSR awaiting clearance. You could try the Mayo as they may have been issued in the USA.
I did look on the internet for them, but could not find anything except the current ones.
This link takes you to the current ones, although you probably have a copy.
which Prof Dasgupta gave at the Scottish conference in September 2016. There is a bit about TB (if I remember rightly) in the middle - heaven knows why...
Thanks PMR pro. The document was more for myself due to pred fog. I get easily confused and don't remember things as well. The reference to TB maybe related to the fact in the US we are seeing TB resurface in patients taking prednisone. I had to have a to test prior to starting the prednisone.
The appointment went well. I am still processing my thoughts and will post an update in a few days.
Hi jinasc and TJ - the current BSR guidelines are also available for download in Resources on the PMRGCAuk website - pmrgca.co.uk/downloads/2/10
The ones we are waiting for are the joint ACR (American College of Rheumatologists) and EULAR (European League Against Rheumatism) ones, which will of course be international.
We're still waiting for the final version of the new guidelines to be published - there seems to be a bit of a technical sticking point. Watch this space!
