Don't worry - enjoy a good day/night!

Did you know that being on pred and changeable shift working is contraindicated?

Far better to take 2 than none!

Thanks must have taken it early afternoon and went back to bed then when I got up around 4 looked and had not taken Tuesday dose but after had taken them realised it's only Monday. Usually take my meds early as possible in morning between 5 and 7 but wait until midday when in nightshift

Hi,

Pred head and night shift no surprise that you don't know what day it is. 😂

Others have done this, survived and had a good day! 😊

You'll probably feel better than usual, don't worry, people survive much higher doses than that. You might feel a bit wide awake. It's so easily done, I think we all do it at least once. Get some little daily pill boxes, mine keep me straight, I fill them for the week ahead, they have sections for morning ,noon, afternoon, evening and night.

It must be awfully hard to carry on doing shift work and even to be working at all with this disease. Can your employer make any adjustments to your working pattern? They are obliged to under the disability provision of the Equalities Act, if you are in the UK.

It has not been bad since been diagnosed and on meds .I know I'm at a difficult time with taper as now at 9mg as from all the posts and as we taper could have a flare. This site has been great as just wanted off the pred as fast as possible but think I have accepted it's not that easy.

Yes in the UK and took PMR after returning to work after op for frozen shoulder and a bereavement. Work job share so that helps. But 12 hr shifts on your feet are tiring. But will keep that in mind

I have some dry erase markers, and write my pred, (etc, )date/dose on my bethroom mirror! Might sound silly, but with my current mix of antibiotics and everything else...it works😜

Next day, I erase and start over😂

Just sit back and enjoy the freedom from pain. And tomorrow just go back to your regular dosage. One day of a double dose is not going to make or break you.
