The latest meeting listed for the London Group on the Charity's website is the one that took place in January. They meet quarterly so I assume the next one is imminent. Perhaps one of the group members will see your post shortly and be able to let you know. Otherwise, an email to the Charity's website pmrgca.co.uk or a 'phone call to 0300 999 5090 will, I'm sure, provide the answer.

Coincidentally, I've jut had an email from the Group coordinator giving details of the meeting. I'll try to cut and paste it to you, though my technological skills aren't great! Watch this space

Dear Friends

When: Monday 24 April 2017, 13:00 – 16:00

Where: Artizan Street Library

Ground Floor room

1 Artizan Street

London E1 7AF

This coming meeting is going to be rather different for us - we have the Wellcome Trust sponsored Rheuma Research Roadshow coming to us!

We have Professor Mauro Perretti coming to speak to us - his topic is going to be inflammation. if you would like to see a short Youtube video please have a look here. Kate Gilbert will also bring us up to speed on some of the new research that was reported in previous Roadshows in Keele and Bristol.

If you would like to invite along your clinician, or a supporter that would be fine - but please be aware that places will be allotted on a 'first come first served' basis.

Booking in to come is also different - to make sure we don't have more people than our room will hold, we are asking you to register via this link:

rheumaresearchroadshow_lond...

If you have trouble using it, please can you talk to myself or Kathryn Busby. Even if you are not sure if you can come, please register, as if you don't it could mean there won't be room for you if we have a lot of interest.

Please note that there may be filming on the day, so if you don't want to be filmed, please can you let myself or Kathryn know.

As ever we will provide drinks and nibbles, but if you need more food, please bring it with you.

Directions from Liverpool Street station. It’s easiest to come out via the escalator to the upper concourse and onto Bishopsgate(West), turn right, cross Bishopsgate at the pedestrian lights and go down Devonshire Row, then across Devonshire Square, which briefly becomes Cutler St. At the junction turn briefly left onto Harrow Place - you’ll see the Travelodge hotel in front of you - and immediately right into Artizan Street. The library is just past the Petticoat Tower, on your left (it’s not much of a ‘street’ now, more a narrow walkway beside an entrance to an underground car park – doesn't look very prepossessing!).

Directions from Aldgate tube. This route is slightly longer than you might expect because of building works getting in the way, however it should take no more than 10 minutes walking at a leisurely pace. Exit Aldgate station on to Aldgate High Street and turn right. Walk down the High Street, passing Itsu on your left and St Botolph's without Aldgate church on your right. Turn right as soon as you can after St Botolphs's (opposite Boots) so that you follow the perimeter of the building site around until you almost reach the back of the church. Turn left at Tesco Express into Houndsditch and then take the first right - this is Stoney Lane. The Artizan Street Library is at the end of this road, just past the Post Office and Travelodge.

This is the Google Map

If you need parking, there are a few meter spaces (card or pay by phone) in Stoney Lane or Gravel Lane – best approach via Houndsditch.

I hope to see you there!

Kind regards

Anne
