AA yet again

7.30 am. Waiting for hospital to ring saying there is a bed for me today. Did the same yesterday but no bed available then. This is tedious and all because I took AA for 6 years ! On prescription of course. How many other fractures shall I have before it stops ? Will update when op is done hopefully today !

I hope medics tune into these posts sometimes! The power of pharmaceutical companies is frightening to say the least.

I hope the stress of waiting for a hospital bed is over for you soon Gillymar. Let us know what happens next. I hope you get some answers.

On the other hand where would we be without the pharmaceutical companies? No pred!!

I just meant the massive profits they make and the relentless way they promote drugs as the answer to everything, then more drugs to combat the effects of the first drugs until the patient can't unravel what's going on.

Without Pred. I would be in bed, all the time. 😞

The massive profits are soon dented up if they develop a couple of drugs that go a long way through the process only to be rejected at the end for some reason. And actually, it isn't the companies who give the drugs to sort side-effects of drugs - that is the doctors being lazy and not looking at the whole picture. Good ones think about the list of medications.

I have never had a doctor who looks at the whole picture, the patient has to be really alert and research for themselves in my view. I have been pressured to take statins and AA and have an inhaler with little medical justification bar my age.
