Sorry - I really don't understand what you are saying.

"If I have PMR i

do not have symptoms that others have."

A diagnosis of the PMR we discuss here requires various criteria to be fulfilled - you have to have the right symptoms and some criteria say for a minimum period of time, certainly at least a month or so. PMR is a chronic illness that lasts anything from 2 to 6 years for 3/4 of patients.

Strictly, PMR is the name given to a set of symptoms caused by an underlying illness, in the case of what we talk about here it is an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation in blood vessels. But there are a range of underlying causes and they must be ruled out before deciding it is this PMR.

If you don't have symptoms of the sort most of us describe - the question is "Is it PMR?"

Not what you're looking for?
