Hi Thanks for highlighting that. Although not much of a telly watcher I will be watching that having had GCA. Thanks for writing your book Im on my second read of it
Christine
I gave details of the "Trust Me" programme to my GP. He said that he would circulate to other GPs in the surgery. Spreading the word!!
It was an excellent presentation and featured patients of Professor Das Gupta at Southend. Very emphatic warnings were given about the possibility of sight loss.
Kate,
If you hear of anyone who recorded the bit about GCA or has a link to the programme I'd be pleased to have a copy. I stupidly only set my recorder for half an hour and missed the important bit. I couldn't believe the rubbish being broadcast in the first half an hour when GCA is so important and should have been first.
Thanks
Colin
Hello Mr Elmes..my thoughts entirely knowing how important it is to spread the word on GCA and PMR.. i recognised some faces when it eventually came on. A friend of mine text me after about it and said that she saw a simalar programme last week on PMR stating about Pain,Diabetes etc..i missed this because my partner and i were changing our TV/Broadband Package and i couldn't record anything. Did anyone else see this programme?? Thanks trish29
It was better than nothing, BUT it was pretty basic and they slotted it on at the end of the show. Why? When it is so important to get the information out there and raise awareness. But most frustrating was that they made NO mention of the important link between GCA and PMR and vice versa. Back to the drawing board, Trust Me...
