Does anyone have any views, information or experiences of CBD (cannabidiol) with regards to it's supposed anti-inflammatory properties?

I haven't come across that one before. Cannabis is only available here for (I think) patients with MS, there may have been more conditions added since I last looked.

For the type of inflammation in PMR I'd be very dubious about any benefits.

Hi I am one of those mentioned who smokes cannibas. What it does for me is separates me from any pain. I only smoke 2-3 puffs at night to also get the benefit of helping go to sleep. I do not like it during the day it is like being buzzed from booze and I don't drink during the day either so don't like thar feeling.

cannibas has been legalized in California in November so not sure how the new rules work.

For first time users it freaks them out and the reason is how quickly it affects you. When drinking the effect comes on gradually whereas you are high with the first good puff.

As to pain relief it truly feels I am separated from the pain and am not sure how to describe it other than I know I hurt but don't really feel it.

I have a 92 yr old friend which she is fun I can keep up with her... anyway she uses a cannibas oil on her bad knee and does get relief and does not get high...

Very little - few countries in Europe have approved its use.

I do know a couple of people on the forums who say cannabis does help them - but whether that is it actually reduces the inflammation or whether they just don't care as much I don't know, I also don't know if it is oil or what.

Thanks for replies re cannabidiol... apparently it's legal in U.K. and Europe as a food supplement and it's supposed to have anti-inflammatory properties as well as boosting the immune system. It does not contain thc, a mind altering ingredient and can't be sold for medicinal purposes so people have to do their own research... any more thoughts about its use?
