Sorry cannot cut and paste, but found this on Wikipedia. Says memory loss isn't always fully reversible after taking steroids. Upset. Sorry to be harbinger of negativity.

Dr Google isn't always the best source of information!

If you read the entire thing you will see it says it seems to start soon after taking pred - and is dose dependent. The elderly man with PMR mentioned in the article took 100mg/day over a period of 3 months. I'm really not surprised he had problems! The child is a case report - there may have been another reason.

Now MY memory problems were as much due to PMR as pred - they existed during the 5 years of PMR without pred. They have disappeared over the years of being on pred - only resurfacing if I'm having a flare.

While Wiki is very useful - it is not peer-reviewed or monitored in any way and is not entirely reliable. As MrsN says - Dr Google isn't ALWAYS the best source of information.

That's a relief. I was having trouble pronouncing words when I was on 10mg and 15mg. Still felt foggy though till I got to 6mg. 6mg and the pains came back. So 10mg for 3 days and then back to 7mg, will try reduction later.
