For anyone who doesn't go, you should reconsider. What lovely super people. I was made to feel very welcome and will be going again. Thank you

LOVELY WELCOME AT THE CHERTSEY GROUP
Anne, it is so kind of you to take the trouble to post following your experience at the meeting - I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it. It was lovely to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again. Meanwhile, I hope your PMR behaves but you know where we are if you think we can help in any way. Shirley
Happy coincidence to read Anne's post. I'm newly diagnosed and was planning to go to my local group this week. Severe gastric upset thought otherwise. My question is can I join two groups? I live in Dorset - nearest group Salisbury - but my son and his family are in Chertsey. If visiting and meeting coincide.......two birds, one stone etc.
MisOg50, of course you will be most welcome to join us at Chertsey or at any group in the country if ever you are nearby at the time of a meeting. Just keep an eye on the Charity's website for all the dates: pmrgca.co.uk/groups/.
What a shame a gastric upset got in the way of your first meeting in Salisbury - DorsetLady who you will often see posting here lives in that neck of the woods and you may have been lucky enough to meet up with her. Next time perhaps! Get well soon - meanwhile, sports drinks for any sickness and arrowroot biscuits for diarrhoea.
MisOg50 you will be welcome at any Support Group or Meet Up round the country. Someone who belongs to the Scottish group that meets in Edinburgh visited our Orpington group recently while he was staying on holiday with his daughter. It was really interesting to share ideas.
I would love to join the Chertsey group but am not too confident about driving there. Does anyone live south of Guildford or I. The Eeast Horsley Leatherhead area with whom I could join up ?
Thank you everyone for your informative input.
