Hi, I went this morning and seen my GP, I couldn't take the headache and neck pain, and fatigue and nausea ant my more. I was getting very concerned. She ended up giving my prednisone again starting at were I left off which was st 10 mg and said to wean down by 1 mg every 5 days. As soon as I took it felt a lot better not 100% but better. I was really surprised that my Rheumy said yep it's fine to stop at 10mg, cause it clearly was not. Anyways just wanted to let you guys know. And thank you so much for being there. 😊

I am glad to hear that sanity prevailed! Hopefully you will get the result you need.

Glad to hear that she saw sense. But I'm still very dubious about the rate of reduction she has set for you.

I think it is again too fast too. Going to be be trying to talk to Rheumy once again.

Glad to hear sense has prevailed, but like Annodomini think that reducing 1mg every five days is still asking too much.

I think it would be more sensible to stay at 10mg for a few weeks to make sure you feel okay again, but you'll have to see how you go. If you can, and I know it's not easy, try not to be pressurised into reducing when you don't feel it's right.

I think so too, I am going to call to see my Rheumy again and say what happen when I was off the prednisone. It was awful, as soon as I went to GP and got a refill and took 10 mg almost within 2 hours I felt a little bit better and then the next day better again.

Go with you instincts. My rheumy is one of the enlightened ones and has warned me not to reduce by more than 10%. I am now on 3mg, so percentages are getting a bit hard to work out!

Good luck.

I agree with the others - but I think it is still too fast. Hope she finds putting you through all this was worth it.

I agree I don't know why they seem to be so stuck on getting me off them fast and not listening to fact that it seems to be helping me.
