Back on pred !

Hi all, haven't been here in ages , hope you are all doing well....ish !

Off pred 5 weeks past couple days feeling very sore in shoulders arms and hips 😦 Think this is flare . Unfortunately I'm on holiday in Portugal so no doc . Took 15 mg pred this morning and will stay on this till I go home next week . You think this is enough ?

Sorry to hear about your flare, if that's what you think it is. I guess 15mg is what you started on originally, so as you've caught pains fairly quickly hopefully it should be enough to get things back under control. You should know after a few days if high enough dose, but obviously see doc as soon as you can when you get back. Hope it doesn't spoil your holiday too much. Take care.

Should be plenty - one friend was re-started on 10mg by her rheumy when the same thing happened to her. It was plenty - the doctor said that to cover her postponed holiday (because of PMR 2 years before) that was a week or two later. She settled at 7.5mg after the holiday and was happy enough until she had a rather stressful experience so she's gone back to 10mg and is saying how well she feels!
