The nearest meet-up to you seems to be Salisbury.

However, something tells me there has been an unofficial coffee meeting in the New Forest where there are a few people who "met" on the other 2 forums in the UK. I'm sure there are a few on the patient.info forum

patient.info/forums/discuss...

Might be worth having a look and asking there for contacts. Don't put any personal info - just something like "Is there anyone near Bournemouth who'd like to meet for coffee"

Thank you so much for this. I knew there was one in Salisbury, but that is rather a distance away. Will investigate further.

We have a possible meet up planned for Southampton if that is helpful.

Hi Dee

We have volunteers, some from this forum, we are in touch with who would like to set up new Meet Up branches in various parts of the UK. We hope with their help some of the groups will start in the next few months. We will get there!

The list of our existing branches and potential Meet Ups is on the Polymyalgia+GCA Website at pmrgca.co.uk/groups/ and you can leave your contacts there so that you will be kept informed.

Monthly Meet Ups are small groups - between 4 and 20 usually - meeting locally. We have three in Kent and one in East Sussex and everyone who attends is very positive and supportive.

Polymyalgia+GCA also has larger Support branches meeting at varying frequencies throughout the year and people travel a long distance to attend to meet others with PMR or GCA and hear some excellent speakers.

Hope you can find somewhere soon to meet up.
