I've had a flu jab every year for the last 20+ years as it seems to hit me particularly hard (and then GP agreed absolutely). I've not had it now in all those years and only once had what I would call a bad cold.
I know it isn't the same for everyone, but I wouldn't miss it now and it is the first thing my Rheumy asks me when I see him during the winter months. It is recommended for those patients on Pred.

Hi,
Been on Pred for 3.5ys, had flu jab every year, no problems for me. If you're worried, just discuss with GP or Practice Nurse beforehand.

Short answer: YES!
Even last year it protected one in three patients instead of the usual one in two - even if it isn't 100% successful it does improve the risk a lot.
My rheumatologist said I could have an injection as long as there is no live flu virus involved. Had my shot a couple of weeks ago.
