medium strength headache: hi, diagnosed pmr January... - PMRGCAuk
medium strength headache

They are all listed side-effects of pred. Worry about new severe headache - some people say "the worst headache I've ever had" but moderate headache that remains like that is probably pred. I've heard several people complain about tremor.

Yes, hand tremor made me wonder if we'd have any crockery left at the end of PMR and steroids. It will get better as you get to the lower doses.
Interesting. I have a hand and head tremor, but it is (I thought) an extension of the 'focal distonias' I have had since the 1970s, when I developed writer's cramp. I then got speech dysphonia in the '90s. Now I am wondering if the tremors have ben brought on by the pred. My GP is organising a review with the neurologist who I saw the other year for the writers' cramp to see about botox injections - she said 'not worth it' and I was inclined to agree. This is something to discuss.with her, not that she can do anything if pred. is the cause.
I am on 12.5/11.5 mg Pred on the slow reduction program.
While gradually tapering from
20 mg to 10, I would get a headache at the same time each day. It was 2-3 hours after my dose. Once i dropped below 10 mg, the headaches stopped. There was clearly a connection between Pred and headache for me. Didnt have your other symptoms.
PMR is quite the chameleon, slightly different for each person.
Good luck on your Journey.
