Levator Ani/Pudendal Neuralgia

I had excruciating pain in the urethral /meatus area during an exam by a urogynecologist who then diagnosed me with levator ani. Starting that evening, I developed what I later found to be all the typical symptoms of PN. I didn't have any of these symptoms before that day. There is a corralation of pudendal nerve injury and levator ani that this sadist inflicted upon me.

Hi, I haven't been on in a while. If you want, please follow my posts and read what happened to me. I am interested to know about your diagnosis i.e., what is a definition? Briefly, in a sentence or two, this is what happened with me. In the spring of 2014, I had what was supposed to be a simple partial hysterectomy. I had to pic a gyn out of a hat because I had not used one in many years. It has been a virtual nightmare of what hsppened.

I really hate to read another story of pain. It is certainly a club you don't want to a member of. Not only did I have one chronic pain issue to jump out, I had two.

Bless your heart.

I had a colonoscopy and it made metal Filshie clips used in my tubal ligation end up on my bowels! One was on my rectum for ten years while the other was recently removed from ileum bowel. The doctors knew and did not care about removing them. I believe you. If a doctor does not like you or thinks you don’t deserve a quality of life they can inflict great harm. It happened to me to.

At the same time the metal clip was on my rectum, two ligaments nearby were pinching a rectal nerve everytime I sat or laid down. It was and is torture. I have lost all respect for doctors, Insurance Companies and lawyers. If you are misdiagnosed, neglected and become disabled there is no accountability.

Wow, I didn't waste my time with a lawsuit. I spent months trying to find an end to excruciating pain after I had a simple surgery. A lot of doctors will rush you out the door if you keep going back to find out why you're not getting better. Been there done that.

So sorry about your struggles.

Doctors have no right to abandon a patient in need. Patients have rights.

Yes, please let it be known the names of doctors who are incompetent. We deserve to know. And believe me there are many who need their licenses to practice medicine removed!!
