Wrist pain?

Hi I'm 22 and i was diagnosed with PCD and situs inversus as soon as I was born. I was just wondering does anyone suffer with joint pain? I get it a lot in my wrists and I'm not sure if it is connected or if I'm just being paranoid. I also suffer from bad fatigue and anxiety and can't seem to shift it any advice would be a great help!

Hi Katie,

Sorry you are getting pains. Yes there is a link. I mainly get the pains in my knees and ankles. It gets inflamed when I have an infection however I have been diagnosed with chondomalacia patella with a background of hyper mobility- which is why my knees hurt continuously. I had to check this out because I wasn't sure why my pains were continuous and not just when I have an infection.

So my point is that if your pain is continuous and not just when you have a flair up it's worth looking to see if there is anything else going on.

Thank you! I have not spoken to my doctor about the pains yet but I definitely will because it's affecting my work now

I've not had any wrist problems, but my doctor told me once, anyone who has an infection, such as a chest infection, can get achy joints, but this is not PCD specific.

hi katie, even i get back and joint pain but it started after i had typhoid 2 years back so idk if it's related. In my case, it didn't happen till i had typhoid. also, i was wondering if it's normal to be extremely thin for my age because of PCD SIT? i'm 20 years old and i'm extremely thin and recently i lost 4 kilos again when i got typhoid.

hi Katie, I know this post is quite old but I also suffer from wrist pain which I’m pretty sure is a side effect of my azithromycin at this point, were you taking this? Hopefully your pain has resolved now.
