Hello Shakira.

I'd not worry too much, don't think anyone else, myself included will be bothered.

The blog (and I'm pretty new myself to all this texting and computer lingo) you can use for sharing any of your experiences or what you've done. You'll find as I have that that also poses questions in the comments.

Hope you are not doing too badly. I was diagnosed with PBC Dec 2010 and not doing too badly but for the itch at night. Hope you are one of the fortunate ones and haven't got the itch.

PS To add further, if you want to send anyone on this site a message, click on their user name in blue and info will appear on them. You then click on "Send a Message" beneath their name and type away.

When you log on to the site, if you look at the purple top banner, at the far end if you have any messages, there is normally a number in brackets, just click on it.

Hi shakira10, I'm a newbie as well only found this amazing site just last week. Lots of information and support.

Thank you peridot for the infos and ... I am one of the fortunate ones! ... so far!

I am also new to this site, and a bit of a technophobe too. so have just read and benefitted from Peridot's instructions with gratitude.

I was diagnosed with early pbc nine years ago. I await a biopsy to confirm this diagnosis. As time has gone by, I find I am intolerant of certain food such as oily fish and peanuts. It seems my liver is not happy to digest things of this nature. I have abdominal distension which is extremely annoying and embarrassing. I do not as yet suffer itching. Perhaps antihistamine tablets may help as histamine could be the cause, but not necessarily. Consult your gp or consultant first. I also have c.r.e.s.t syndrome and it is difficult to know what my symptoms stem from . Of course pbc is a known symptom of c.r.e.s.t.

I wish you well and hope to hear how you get along in the future.

Yes and I am also new to the site, and new to PBC, although it hasn't been confirmed, but looks highly likely as 4/5 months of URSo has improved my blood apparently. I do feel quite ignorant about it all. The only itch I've had so far is itchy palms! and this is very recent. More of an issue is the loose bowel movements, generally only in the morning, but inconvenient nevertheless particularly if I have an appointment or meeting in the morning.I wonder if like romulus I am becoming intolerent to certain foods.

Not what you're looking for?
