Frequency of hospital appointments

How often do you have check up appointments with consultant (or their team).

Following diagnosis of PBC in Jan 2011 I had my next appointment after 6 months and since then I have been given yearly appointments, my next is due at the end of June 2013.

I attended the hospital over a 12 month period (later 2010 to later 2011) and for me I couldn't see the point at the present time so I discussed with the consultant about him discharging me for now and in event I need to return in the future that is what I would do.

I've been much better since I was discharged tho' the GP could do better I think (but I intend to hopefully remedy that soon, switch GP surgeries).

After my 1st appointment, I had another one 3 months later. The gap til the next one is 6 months

Over the last 12 years I have been to the hospital roughly about every 6 months.
