Hoping that the weather will soon catch up with the calendar date, I'm convinced Spring will arrive. As you know I do like to garden - weeding and hoeing just makes me feel productive and relaxed. As the days do get warmer I have to admit my house needs some 'deep cleaning'. The indoor jobs need my attention too.

I love lists! The other day I started a 'new file' titled 'Spring To Do Things'. In doing so, it occurred to me that all of these things probably do need to be done but.... what would make me feel the most productive? what might even make me happy to do? what is absolutely ridiculous to think I might even get done?

Often with the fatigue that all so often goes with PBC, we do have to decide what do I want to do? what can I physically do? what would make the most happy if I can choose one thing? Prioritize!

We all have a responsibility to be kind to ourselves. We know ourselves. We have to remember that we make the decision on how we spend our time. If there are things that we need to get done, we still need to decide what we should tackle and what can wait.

Be happy with your decisions!

I love that you love lists! We are a kindred spirit in that regard, Donna 😊. My problem is I still try to do it all, and my “prioritization” is knock g out the small tasks so I can get to the larger ones regardless of my energy levels at the time. I must adjust this strategy, I know. Stubbornness is hard to overcome.

Even though I don't always do it, I've read that the thing you want to do the least should be #1 on your list... get it over with!

My sister used to make lists and I hated it...it made me feel agitated.

We were living at mum and dads with first borns in the late 60s, my son is one month older than hers and while I'd be up dressed, baby fed and dressed my sister was making lists.....To me you can have jobs done while listing them. She's very thorough and it took her ages..

I ended up moving to my in laws when the friction was too much.

I do so little these days, health problems are debilitating no pleasure in housework any more. My son is living here and he's not so houseproud 🤨 I don't know where to start and I give up🫤

Signs of spring here I'll be talking spring cleaning any time but he'll help if I ask, which I will be doing.

Not what you're looking for?
