Alp started going up after being started on Evenity and Repatha Anyone else have this experience?

I don't see in what I've read that either drug should elevate liver enzymes. I always tell people to ask their pharmacist. They are so knowledgeable about drug interactions, especially with other drugs you may take as well. You said your alk phos was going up. What was it and what is it now? Just be sure to look at the overall trend of your results - not just a one time number. We all have fluctuations up and down....

Thank you for your reply. I have had stable alp for past 7 years. Was 114 at start of both Evenity and Repatha in September. Up to 183 now. I know Alp can elevate with osteoporosis and I thought I read that Evenity being a bone builder can raise the alp. See my Dr. next week. We shall see ..

ALP is predominately found in liver and bone, so maybe taking the bone builder medication is making that difference, but you must be sure that is the case.The GP could get a test done to show if it’s bone or liver related so I would certainly ask at your appointment.

I wasn’t on Rapatha but I was on Crestor for 2 months and it bumped me up into stage 2 fibrosis!
