Here in the US it's our independence day from England. We celebrate with family gatherings, parades, and of course fireworks. I hope though that is also a day of remembering all of the brave men who fought courageously against all odds.

One of my favorite movies is The Patriot with Mel Gibson. It truly shows the sacrifice and the unbelievable bravery men had to literally run into battle. We have freedoms today because of so many sacrificing everything for what they believed in.

I hope today - and every day - we all remember the men and women who still show such bravery even today in our Armed Forces. While many of us enjoy the food and the fireworks, many spend their day under very different circumstances just to keep us safe.
