Here in the states we are celebrating Memorial Day.. a day to remember all of those who gave their lives for our country. Gorgeous sunny day.....I hope we all know how precious our freedom is in view of all that is going on in the world around us. If any of our members served in the military "thank you!"
As the official start of summer, we all look forward to those summer activities. Events planned with families, vacations, graduation parties, or just quiet days alone. Just remember to be kind to yourself. Don't feel guilty if you can't attend or stay as long as you would like to. Know that you need to pay attention to your body and what it is asking of you. I know all too well how the fatigue can suddenly be consuming you in the middle of that family activity. It can be just as relaxing to just sit in that favorite lawn chair as it is to be 'mingling' with lots of folks around you. Take care of yourself.
Maybe you are the ones hosting an event this summer.... be kind to yourself. Be patient and understanding that it may take you longer to get everything ready. Ask for help! I'm sure for some of you that is a new concept... 😀 just try it. You might be surprised to know people want to help.
Just enjoy the time with friends and family but take care of you too! Remember you are loved and all of those friends and family want you to just be with them.... all the preparation you often go through doesn't make up for those moments with good people in your lives. Keep it simple... being together is what counts.
