keep having hot &sweaty moments throughout the day is this normal/ side effect of Urso? Or just plan menopause

Any advice appreciated

Hi Eppy,

I definitely experienced hot hot hot 🥵 when I first started taking Urso. It could have been linked to menopause but it coincided with the start of my taking the medication and was over within a couple of months, as was my other side effect of a shocking (thankfully sporadic) spate of prickly skin. I too take Urso and have nightsweats; they preceded by many years my taking the medication. I have not been able to establish a connection between PBC, Urso, and the sweats

Years ago, I was examined at Mayo/Jacksonville where it was determined that I have “nocturnal thermoeegulatory dysfunction.” However no cause was diagnosed and the “specialist” prescribed some meds to treat the symptoms; I was not able to take the meds because of side effects.

The sweats continue in varying degrees.

I doubt that Urso is causing your problem.

I don't think urso does that; official side effects do not list nightsweats. More likely menopause.
