Should we be self isolating?
Coronovirus : Should we be self isolating? - PBC Foundation
Coronovirus
The PBC foundation web page has been updated with the latest advice for those in the UK, but the advice may be different depending on where you live.
I think in the UK, ( at the moment) self isolating is for those who think they have or have any symptoms of covid19 however mild.
It seems we need to be adopting social distancing measures. Saying that, things change on an almost daily basis, best to keep upto date with an ever evolving situation. What we do today may not be the same next week or even tomorrow. I think the biggest thing is being happy with what your doing to stay safe.
I noticed yesterday at the pharmacy queue , I felt rather uncomfortable standing in the queue for 15 minutes it was so crowded, and no measures in place to distance yourself. I contacted the pharmacy to ask why, they didn’t want to know, hence I won’t be going in there again. ( the reason for my annoyance was the very kind lady, who coughed all over me) Yet another pharmacy in the area was limiting the number of people at a time in the shop to five, with everyone else waiting outside in the fresh air much safer I felt. Any way that’s my Covid rant, or perhaps my paranoia. Above all stay safe.
Yes, we should be self isolating.
I cannot think of anything I do in my life outside of my home that cannot be delayed for a few weeks. My husband and I, both with compromised health issues, and both in our 60's are staying home. The only times we venture out are in the least busiest hours, stay way far away from anyone and wear gloves when going into buildings. We went out and stocked up on food for about a month. Everything else is being delivered. Is this being paranoid??? Probably, but I must say...I would rather do this than take a huge risk with my families health.
We are looking at it as a vacation, using the time to sort through things, rearrange the house, cook exotic meals that take time! I started a new painting and am practicing yoga at home. Please consider staying home where it is hopefully safe. Be well
