Hi I'm hoping someone has a helping answer to my Q . I'm due to go to my tribunal appeal hearing any time soon . After I was given the dredded 0 points at my assessment . After he wrote a report failing me , even thou he didn't do it ask me to . Apart from can I lift a arm 8" , and can I open an envelope . I suffer with Chronic low back and disc & root nerve compression . My Doctor said his 0 points is impossible because I've been under the care of the hospital pain management team for last 4 years . I'm also with the community chronic pain team . What I'd like to no is the assessor wrote no input from all the consultants I've seen over the years . My Doctor told me it is private & confidential between me and mental health & pain consultants I'm under . If all consultants report's go to my Doctor , Should I be asking her to write some form of letter explaining a little about my condition . So the tribunal understand my situation more ?

I am always cross and sad when I read this type of post. If your GP fails to understand why an assessor denied you. Anyway good for you that you are fighting for it. I wonder if the PBC Foundation can help you with this. They may have experience in such matters or certainly if you can get to your local citizens advice bureau I am sure they will be able to give you an answer. Good luck let us know how you get on.

Hi thanks for the comments . I did see and explain to my Doctor on Monday how uneasy the assessor had made me feel about facing the appeal court . I told her I wasn't asking her to break any rules . And private and confidential is what it is . But I told her that when I see the pain team , after every appointment they send a report . She understood what I was saying . And downloaded the pain consultants full report . From all my M I R scans , operations , every the other things that they have tried that may have helped me . Plus the condition I'm suffering with . And the impact on my life , and the mental struggle i'm having to except . Everything thing the assessor says I'm not .

I would echo what butterflyEi has said try and get some help with the claim.

Your post reads as if you never had any medical reports to substantiate your claim. Your doctors and consultants can and should write letters on your behalf, but they need your permission to do so. So yes get them all to do it, otherwise the tribunal will only go with what’s on your form. Take copies, as well they have a habit of loosing things.

A friend of mine went to the CAB they were wonderful they did all the forms for her and collated everything. Her advisor even went to the tribunal with her as support, so she didn’t have to go alone.

Good luck I hope all goes well.

Hi responding to your post . I have the disability drop in centre helping me with my paperwork . And will represent me at court . It's just the worry and stress the whole thing is causing . The D W P telling me I'm wasting my time taking as far as i have because I won't win . The phone call telling me my fit notes are illegal . The closer I get to the day I will appear at tribunal , the mental side of things are dragging me down so low through fear , panic I don't no . But when this is all over I feel it's making me feel so low , that i'm going to find it hard to crawl back out of the hole I've gone into
