Headache : Hi guys do any of you suffer... - PBC Foundation
Headache
Yes, I do. Sometimes I cannot find the word I am looking for or I can just stand there and think what am I doing. The headaches come and go. I am also occasional unsteady on my feet.
hi vespa, think you probably need to talk to consultant about this... the brain fog can be part of worsening of symptoms... but not sure about headaches... ive hada few but only since transplant.
have you got any other new symptoms??
best wishes cazer. x
Hi there
Yes I wake up most mornings with a headache, I discribed it to doctor as a hangover even though I don't drink. He called it brain fog and its to do with pbc. He was not much help otherwise but doesn't think it to do with the clinical trial
I'm on.
I can only explain it as a pounding headache that feels like blood pressure as makes me a bit light headed, and worse if have been busy ... I forget words sometimes too. Also notice recently that if I crouch down to do anything my thighs no longer let me get up, have to ask my brilliant fella for help lolx
It may be last thing you want to do, but practicing a few small squats, a few times a day, supported by chair or other if needed, will strengthen your thigh muscles so you can get up without your fella to help you! You only ever need to squat as far as is comfortable for you, and increase the depth as you improve over time. Another reason to strengthen these muscles, (which you've described as getting weaker) is that you need them to support your joints and ligaments. If muscles don't do their share of the work your joints and ligaments will be overworked and damaged making it much harder to move without pain. I practice this regularly. It works. I exercise upper arms daily too as these muscles got weak and began to make putting coat on a bit of an effort. These two exercises, even only total of 5 mins a day, every day, do work. It can help to remember to do them them if they are done before or after some other activity that you do habitually several times a day e.g. make a drink, finish a phone call etc. I hope this works for you.
Hello Vespa,
Headaches are just starting for me however brain fog is really bad.
I forget words and have to describe the word i'm looking for, I forget what people have just told me and I have to have all my appointments on my phone calendar otherwise I'd forget to go!!! xx
