Was wondering if geting a flu shot with pbc is ok .

My doctor said yes. I'm in the U.S. Here we have a 2 strain vaccine and a 4 strain (or 3, lol I can't remember) anyway, because my immune system is compromised, I was told to get the higher strain vaccine. Also because of my age. No problems, no issues.

It is the quad...most people get the quad unless they cant tolerate it.

My hepatologist told me we should get the flu shot. I got mine at his office. He got his the same day too. 😊

I’am in the UK, I always had the flu jab every year it’s recommenned here I’ve never had any problems with it.

We have a new vaccine for over 65’s this year, I think it’s a 3 strain, (aTiv) but stronger than the quad. Its new to the UK, but been in the US for some years. Seems like it’s in short supply to meet demand in some areas though, I saw the queues on the local news last night. So I hope everyone gets there’s without to much trouble. The 4strain (quad) is for under 65’s.
