I use YouTube relaxation and visualization recordings to help with keeping calm, sleeping and general well being. I like the voice of Jason Stephenson and found listening to his guided visualization very beneficial.

Would help to know what kind of sleep issues you are experiencing. Also, what are your eating/drinking habits, and the biggie for us women...menopausal??? Lot's of sleep issue out there...can't fall asleep? Wake up hot? Waken at same time every night?

Without knowing your age, I can only give you my experiences. Teas for sleep are gentler on your system than capsule. There are many herbal concoctions for sleep, but the ones I tried all went back. My doc's tell me it's thyroid or menopause. Hormones fluctuate at night...could be decreased progesterone, Thyroid out of balance, etc. Have you considered having a sleep study done? Could be apnea...I'd talk to a reputable Naturopath of if you like MD's, one who specializes in sleep...Perhaps giving up any caffeine and sugar for awhile might clear things up for you. Mine told me not to nap if possible and to get into bed by 10:00 or so due to circadium rhythm....rest well

When my thyroid was "off", I couldn't sleep through the night. I use bio-identical creams, so am able to use progestrone about one hour prior to bed. It usually helps with my sleep. Acupuncturist told me that waking at 4am is usually liver...go figure. Open to cleanses???

I use Zopiclone 3.75, and often half a tablet does the trick to get me off to sleep. But I don't stay asleep, and rarely get more than 5.5 hours a night.

The YouTube relaxation music helps some (mentioned by another poster) and I use a white noise app on my phone. Exercise can also help. Perhaps best of all for me though is imagining a scene that I find relaxing. This personalised visualisation only works when I keep making my mind go back to it when it tries to run off and think about daytime stuff!

Good luck.

I take nothing as I feel I already take enough with Urso, Calcichew d3 forte and asthma inhalers etc. Some nights are awful and then I go through a period of pretty good nights of 6 hours. Love them.
