I missed the post, I know there are a few cranky ideas about cannabis being a cure all for everything including cancer, which many (most)  feel is total tosh......(I guess a few might actually believe it, and through belief it may even help! ) but there are some very serious studies with regard to cannabis and for example M.S. - many MS sufferers swear by cannabis as  some relief.

what was the post about can I ask?

Hi, a person posted on here that she had been cured of cancer by using Cannabis oil . On the subject of MS sufferers using cannabis for pain I would suspect it is the feeling of being high may be the reason they get relief from pain. Also a website address was put on where to obtain it , there are many good pain killers available to use, using Cannabis for MS is an idea from America and is not legal here anyhow.

This response in no way argues against you request for removal of the post.

I think quack remedies - especially for cancer sufferers - are in very poor taste indeed.

Cannabis and MS is however a serious issue. it is not pain relief that is the major issue, and importantly it is NOT being high that helps, THC is the element in cannabis that gets you "high" cannaboids are present in cannabis too, these cause relaxation, and it is this property of cannabis that is helpful to MS sufferers. Just as cannabis can be bred to produce high THC content aka "Skunk" it can also be bred to have low THC and high cannaboids, making it relaxational not high inducing.

The tremors that many MS sufferers can be reduced by this relaxation effect of cannaboids.

so much is claimed for may natural products, much is not proven.

Cannabis in MS is widley accepted by the MS community (people who have no interest in "drugs".)

there is also medical evidence :

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/...

this post to add balance to the cannabis debate for medical use and  to and support the MS sufferers who make very serious claims for relief through cannabis.

I am sure the vast majority of us on here have some room for sympathy for fellow health sufferers!

ive seen many groups especially on Facebook re the oil and the posts people have said how well it does/doesn't work. I also thing the high feeling probably makes people feel better

I never saw this post but would like to say thank you for taking the time to get it removed,  I agree it was not appropriate.

Probably not a good idea to put it on a site like this.if people want  to find out about rarer treatments or ones that are used in other countries legal there its prob medical research sites.

However i have personal close family who have used this type of treatment to get rid of a brain tumour....she is better...nhs consultants are shocked at the fact its gone...she had been given1 to5 years survival or being a cabbage.it apparently works because it interrupts the blood flow to the tumour but as i say it is used abroad as a treatment legally.we are all very grateful that she will b with us for a much longer time and i have  to say that if id been in her  predicament i may have gone down the same route.after all all medicines start out as experimental.lve been on urso for 16 yrs and it was very  new at the time and mainly used for gallstones.

I hope this post does not offend anyone but we need to try and be open minded.imagine what it must have been like for the first ever transplant..probably seen as pure madness!!!!
