I've only had problems with swollen lymph nodes in my neck - docs took seriously, every test done, scan etc and they just went down on their own after about two weeks.
It was left that I would come back if it happened again.
I do. In fact, never related it to PBC until you asked, so next time I see my hepatologist I will ask him about the connection.
Swollen axillary (arm pits) lymph nodes were the first to be detected upon undergoing a routine mammogram. Then, I have been undergoing several scans and tests when eventually my PBC was discovered.
As to the relation between my PBC and my lymph nodes and nodules that keep appearing and disappearing, I still need to find out.
Thank you for asking Magnolia, for now that you ask then I guess there is a relation!
I have inflamed lymph nodes in my stomach and had biopsy's etc but they were inconclusive. So didn't think it was related to PBC?
Hello Magnolia.
Not sure it is connected with PBC. It is possible to encounter other things without it being anything at all to do with PBC.
I do think it could be easily thought to be connected to PBC but I look at it differently in the fact that if something is not working as efficiently as it should then it causes a sort of domino effect to other things occurring.
Thank you all for your input. I have Fibromyalgia, and of course it confuses me whether something is one thing when it's just Fibromyalgia. May I ask if it feels achy with a slight burning sensation when you had swollen lymph nodes?
I have an sore lymph node on my collar bone. Its been checked by exam, but its never gotten bigger so nobody every took much notice. I also had a blood test to differentiate my ALP between cancer and liver issues, as ALP can be raised in lymphoma. My mother had hodgekins lymphoma early in life, so I was concerned. The lymph node is still sore and that part of my chest is sore a lot, but it comes and goes and never gets any bigger. Its about the size of a pea or half a shelled peanut. I always wondered if it was related to this, or another autoimmune disease. Guess I will know more in Sept when I got back to my rheumy.
One of my grandfathers died of Hodgkins disease, and another of Lukemia. I only know I have no infection in my body and don't understand where it's coming from.
