Hold on, good luck xx

I had a liver transplant 9 years ago and was only on the waiting list for 6 weeks. The wait was hard to bear but just remember that it will be worth it in the end. Good luck.

I had a transplant 9 years ago, so have been through this, I support pre transplant patients at KIng's so if you would like some support do private message me and I am happy to support you through it...where do you live? Don't be scared you need all the positive mental attitude you can muster up!

Hi Shellbear, I know this is a difficult time, I had my transplant in Dec 2012 ( approx 5 months ago). The waiting is hard, and I know the prospect is scary but believe me its worth it, I feel so much better post transplant than before.

You do feel that while you are just hanging around, waiting for that call. Your life is on hold, and you are in limbo. Try and stay positive, you are one step closer to a new you and a new life post transplant. I would suggest you try and carry on as "normal" for as long as you can. I waited 6 months for my transplant and I carried on working full time for the 3 months I was on the list, but then took sick leave.

My top tip would be make sure you keep yourself as well and as strong as you can pre transplant, it really does help with in your post recovery period.

I wish you the best of luck and a speedy transplant.
