Hi, gizzi, if anyone has parietal cell antibodies this means that their hydrochloric acid production and also intrinsic factor production will be downgraded and so the B12 cells needed will not be cleaved from animal protein therefore this is a mechanism (or a chemistry) that leads to B12 deficiency.

I am not aware of any special treatment for actual parietal cell antibodies but the consequence, B12 deficiency, is certainly treatable usually by injections of B12 as for Pernicious Anaemia. In fact, where once PA was only used when Intrinsic Factor antibodies (IFab) presence was established but now the term PA is more widely used.

Have you any results of B12 tests to quote here?
