After a rather crummy December and January (seemed to be hitting a wall re improvement; tingling, cramping and fatigue returning) I've had two small wins this week. Dental hygienist confirmed my feeling that my gums were healthier and less inflamed, and hairdresser said my hair was thicker! So maybe not life changing, but encouraging nevertheless. ☺️

good morning, I'm hoping and praying that your other symptoms have gone or gotten better.
Thank you for your concern. I can't pinpoint why I felt things backsliding over the last couple of months as iron and folate are both good and Vit D has gone up. But gastritis has calmed a lot which makes a huge difference to my quality of life. It's a rollercoaster! You're very kind to ask. I hope you are doing well and continuing to improve x
Yes it's a roller coaster .It took a few years s for me to plateau with symptoms .
Improvements however slow can happen.
Keep a diary
How old are your supplies? I don't know if you saw my post, but I don't think Pascoe hydroxocobalamin lasts so well. I've resolved to only buy 3 months at a time. I'd up your zinc intake, especially if you've been getting coughs and colds and Omega 3, fish oil/ oily fish ideally.
I am currently a winner in the Great NHS Lottery and get my B12 on prescription - 15 ampoules a month and they all have expiry dates of at least 12 months, usually more, so I think they are therapeutically active. Zinc and omega 3 noted, thanks.
Hi Myoldcat
Snazzy teeth and a sleek coat to boot! I hope you are swishing your bushy tail and licking your whiskers!
Just a thought fir you to mull … what you describe resonates with me and when I get flat - backward times - yet there are visible signs of “small wins” it’s often because I have increased my physical activity and reduced my rest without realising it.
I have several options to correct it - more frequent B12 for a while which is my quickest solutions or to reduce my activity and increase rest - which is my hardest solution as I don’t want to adjust my life to jabs - I want to adjust my jabs to my life choices.
It’s all trial and error trying to work out what’s best for each of us.
I am sure the warm feeling that comes from your “small wins” although they are NOT small at all IMVHO will make you feel good and spur you on.
🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for the encouragement wwwdot, I think you're right in that we feel better, do more because of that, then can hit a wall because we've been too ambitious! I also feel winter doesn't help my energy levels, plus it was my first year anniversary of diagnosis and being an old hippie I believe the body remembers... but feeling a bit better the last couple of days, so will continue to laze in front of the fire, purring and grooming my newly lustrous locks 😸👩🦰🐾
Yep, agreed- we want our old energy back, after all. I know I'm doing SO much more than a year ago, but I suppose I'm impatient!
