Symptoms not symmetrical.

Long ago I noticed that in diagnosis criteria it is often stated that the neurological symptoms of B12D are symmetrical. At first when grossly under supplementing and not treating my B6 deficiency that is what I experienced. As I improved my injection schedule my symptoms became unsymmetrical. One foot would be in pain etc. I expect the diagnosis criteria is an attempt to differentiate B12D from a stroke.

I do not see neurological symptoms as limited to peripheral neuropathy.

From my work with trials I expect that my corpus colosseum is affected and as it heals that is why my symptoms of peripheral neuropathy are not symmetrical.

I also conclude that my hippocampus, amigilia gland, frontal cortex, hypothalamus, etc were affected and need to be healed.

I use this understanding in a very general sense. Makes sense that as I supplement my body temperature regulation will change, my anxiety will change, my ability to remember words will change, my memory will change, my digestion will change, my optic nerve will change, my hearing will change, my balance will change, my mood regulation with change etc. This is helpful to me in that change does not always mean improve at first and will change more drastically as I improve my supplementation.

This has been part of my work all along and I have integrated it into my evaluation of the effects of any change in my supplementation. I have not written about it previously and decided some might find my experience/understanding helpful.

----------------------------------------------

I within the first year treated myself for B6 deficiency and so I no longer experienced the agony of peripheral neuropathy.

--------------------------------------------

It is often stated that the myelin sheath is a protective covering of the nerve axons and can be damaged with B12 D. It seems to be lost the the myelin sheath is actually part of the transmission of the signals and not simply like a extension cord covering. Real scientists are now working on that the signal is not simply electrical rather frequency.

-----------------------------------------

I do not see B12D to be the mystery rather I see it as the mystery of how my neurological system is affected.

------------------------------------------

I share, I do not instruct or advise. My B12D was not caused by vegetarian diet or surgery. I self treat by symptom elimination not what I see as the failed understanding of how to treat and how long it has to take.

Mine wasn't/isn't either, and I too need to supplement "to order" with all sorts of vitamins and minerals on symptoms, with levels that in theory would normally be beyond toxic.

Well done in what you do and report - always interesting.
