New Understanding

I have written here often that when I change my suplimentation and it is an improvement what I experience is an uptick followed by a downturn then a gradual improvement as my body adjusts to the healing then a plateau where the rate of improvement levels off and I start a new trial. I can tell the trial is effective in a week +- and the plateau comes at 10 days to two weeks +-.

I did a trial of NAD and the results were different from other trials. There was no uptick and there was an immediate downturn with a plateau at 7 days +-. I increased the NAD 4 times and am currently holding at 400 mg 6 times a day. The results are more energy, clearer cognitive process, clearer skin, calmer, better focus etc. I was symptomatic during these trials at a degree I had not been for a year. It was rough and hard to trust my knowledge. I am very glad I did.

pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articl...

I have just done two trials and am currently injecting 6 mg B12 7 times a day with each dose separated by 10 minutes. I am using a concentration of 6 mg per ml.

These last two trials were similar to the NAD in that the downturn was immediate. I slept up to 14 hours a day. I had immediate burning and itching in my lower legs and neck area. I also experienced floaters and white flashes on my left eye. I expected from the knowledge gained from my work the eye floaters and white flashes were the result of my optic nerve healing and the burning and itching to be neurological and they would resolve within 5 days and that is what happened.

So my new understanding is that what I thought was my body healing was more about my body adjusting to better but not effective suplimentation. Only took me 4 years to reach that understanding. Three of those years believing I would heal if I just waited which is often incorrectly but very confidently preached on this forum. It was not until I started injecting 1 mg 3 times a day that I stopped feeling less worse and started to heal.

I share, I do not instruct or advise. I have learned that for me it is best to understand those on this forum that advise and inform are not credible and their instruction and advice sucks for my healing. They are confident. At least some of them exhibit narcissistic qualities and cannot understand that everyone is not the same as them due to their lack of empathy. Some that do not heal to a level that is acceptable to me believe that because they cannot design a way to heal that is acceptable to me that I cannot either.

Thank you to all that share!!!! I could not have got here without you even though I do not follow your choices. It is still helpful to me.

I am not done yet!! The work is getting easier as I have gained understanding.

Hi Wiz

That's so interesting and great news. Your experiences and trials go to show how recovery is non-linear and sometimes counter intuitive.

I am comfortably plateauing at 4.5mg a day and I may change my supplementation in the New Year as I sense I still have work to do on my gut as it’s still less robust than I would like.

It’s not easy finding our health paths and all we can do is approach our journeys with an open mind. I find that what didn’t appear to work for me a year or so ago, now works well. Timing and trying to understand and listening to our body is so important.

Thank you for sharing - your generosity as always is appreciated.

Good on you!! Sounds like a plan. For me all there are and has ever been in are plans to deviate from. 🙂 I do find value in making plans.

It is not only counter intuitive the study of it is radically different than anything I have ever studied exception healing from trauma. Both studies are fraught with assumptions that are not confirmed.

I do not have a learning style. I develop one for each endeavor. With this it has been develop execute then redevelop. It is getting easier now I have a base of what is bad information. That was the biggest challenge other than getting over the emotional aspect of I should not have to self treat but I do or continue to suffer. Even though I have been more successful at treatment than any expert it still is hard to start a new trial.

The what did not work and now does has been to date a matter of amount.

I seem to be past the "paralysis by analysis". When I am in that place the only thing I know to do is go with what I got for a while.

My trials have reached a point where there is some sort of flow based on the addition of the information coupled with the information of past trials.

Homework now is a review of what I knew, what I have rejected and maybe something new. That is a much easier row to hoe.

I very much appreciate that you share your experiences. Like you, I constantly search for ways to improve. I discovered that supplementing with TMG has helped me stabilize and lessen the up and down swings of my symptoms. I take it in the morning with a variety of B vitamins and a methylcobalamin injection. If you also have a mthfr genetic mutation that challenges the methylation process, you too might benefit from the addition of TMG. Keep up the great work!

Thank you,

I looked up TMG and it is the same compound as Betaine. I take 62 g of betaine over 6 doses a day. It was instrumental in treating my 'stuffy head and teeth ache. I strongly expect that it was about my vagus nerve.

The best thing for my vagus nerve is swimming in open water. That is at least 4 months away.
