About two years ago I requested for the first time, full access to my records. This was granted but was very spasmodic at best.

A recent hospital document briefly appeared and then disappeared. However the day prior to this a Discharge letter arrived at my home with similar contents namely my Spine tumours were noted to have been steady for the last five years! Trouble is I have complained over much more than five years of excruciating back pain which has never been investigated always put down to weight etc. I have no knowledge of any spine tumours whatsoever.

Today most of my records have disappeared and show nothing about this recent discovery and only commence in 2023 nothing prior to that except in one list which shows I was receiving some of my medications in 1900 I was born in 1946. I am in a wheelchair and use crutches due to back pain treated with co codamol

Is it a good assumption someone is messing with my records? I have heard absolutely nothing from Practice even though a couple of test results say ‘patient to be informed’ at least a month ago and no appointments in the future. I am also untreated for b 12 deficiency.

Hi,

If you dont get any satisfaction from the practice manager try writing to your GMC.

How were these tumours diagnosed if your back has not been investigated ?Most are tumours are seen on MRI scans.

You need to insist your back pain is investigated.

Hi,

As far as I know you can also ask to have access to paper medical files. Just wondered if it's possible not everything is put online. You would probably need to submit a signed written request.

If things are only appearing briefly when you access online, perhaps you could take screenshots of the information.
