My symptoms started with the feeling of cobwebs across my face. If Irested on my elbows I would get pin's and needles also numbness in my arms and hands. I had vey painful feet to say the least which also went 'very' numb .

My gait and balance changed, my daughter said I walked like a peguin, bless her. My eyes sight became blurred and both my memory and cognitive thinking was affected. The lethargy was chronic and the weakness left me unable to functioning.

All in all not much fun.

I had very painful shooting pains in my lower legs. They only lasted a few seconds but were quite frequent when my B12 levels were very low.

Hi Popcorn. Like Maisiethedog I experience severe shooting pain in the shins. Started after loading doses, just for a second or two, then became longer lasting and more intense, and a couple of weeks ago I had a 40 minute 2am bout, where they just kept coming! Exhausting! The pain is creeping lower down the shins and is now including the top of the feet, which I attribute to nerve healing from the centre outwards. I hope 😬🤞 I also have constant nagging 'toothache' type lower back and hip pain, difficult to know if it's from a compressed nerve but it almost disappeared with loading doses although has since recurred, so I'm hoping it will improve in time. Tooth pain - upper and lower teeth at the same time, so doesn't seem like an actual tooth problem? Blurry eyes which have improved, and finally my gastritis felt very like nerves waking up in the stomach, not sure if that's A Thing! Phew!

Was the shooting pains in your toes ? Mine would feel as if they were being attacked by a Rottweiller, the pain would make me shout out. My stomach would feel as if it had a load of ants in it wearing football boots. 🐜

Not got to my toes...yet! Stomach was gnawing rather than ants in boots. Wouldn't our gps have a field day with that description??🤣

Like touching an electric fence. Then there is the pins and needles sensations in feet but those were not painful but just weird.

I get shooting pains mostly in my arms and legs but recently they were so bad in my hands I couldn't sleep they go on for hours then subside then return hours later. Ive had the shooting pains down the front of my thighs for years but doctors don't seem interested to be honest

I had sore feet progressing to burning feet syndrome,(BFS) became sometimes quite painful. Also had burning legs as if sunburned. Had balance issues later.2 years later after EOD SI I still have nocturnal burning feet/legs every night causing disturbed sleep but it's the heat rather than pain that disturbs my sleep.

Balance and tinnitus almost disappeared after 6 months EOD SI

Neurologist said permanent small fibres nerve damage.

I now regret I didn't keep symptom diary as recommended my many in this group. (HINT)

However I am an old guy quite mobile with no increase in pa symptoms.

Good luck

I had electrical shock feelings in my arms. Fizzy feelings and aches across my body 3 weeks into loading. Had nerve conduction tests and proved damage is shown. Got me onto to more routine B12 injections. Lasted about 4 weeks and settled. But do get random pins and needles for no reason still.

Tingling in hand and feet like they are falling asleep. Pain in my toes, especially if I touch them.

I have bilateral leg pain that is like a heavy pressure pain from ankles to top of thigh so I can't stand for to long without crippling pain so having a shower or standing in a queue is so painful. I cannot walk to far either and in the night burning pain from thighs down to feet causing disturbed sleep. Electric shocks also cause problems sleeping and sometimes constant nerve misfiring/vibrations from abdomen/backside area down to my feet, nerve problems in backside causing burning buttocks, constipation and anal pain. Nerve pain in feet during day , I take Gabapentin but that only works for restless leg syndrome. It is a daily battle against pain/discomfort and the limatiions of p.a/b12 deficiency.
