temperature/anxiety and excess urination.

so I’ve just had a second lot of loading doses. All was going well however I got sick towards the end of these last week. Before I got sick all my B12 symptoms were clearing up completely.

but now the urination frequency has returned with extreme tiredness, anxiety like I’ve never felt before and crying a lot. Is this just my germ? Or something B12 related?

previously the B12 treatment completely stopped the frequent urination on two occasions. As well as elevated my mood. Can being sick with a really bad bug negate the b12 in some way? If I didn’t know better I’d think the gp prescribed me a placebo this time round as they really are not on board with treating me at all. I showed them Nice guidelines etc but he said there’s nothing saying it has to be more frequent in there. I feel like death.

Just keep going with your b12 injections. Improvements will continue .

My gp is unsupportive of this. So I need to secure them myself. Currently contacting dr Klein at the Cambridge blood clinic in the hope he will help me. Annoying to have to go private as I ain’t rich. But they are taking none of it and not wanting to help. I am looking into self injecting but it’s a bit of a minefield and very scary.

I can assure you that self injecting is not a minefield or scary You are describing exactly what happened to most of us . . Use the German online pharmacies like we all do on this forum , to get b12 ampoules .( as I described yesterday ) We would help you all the way .

The prospect of self injecting IS scary, but if you need to, Dr K will show you how. After one or two goes yourself it will feel absolutely straightforward, and will give you such flexibility and more importantly, the chance to recover more fully. My tip - ask your companion or Dr K's lovely nurse to film the whole injection process, from opening all the items onwards, so you can watch again and check. Good luck and good health x

these are symptoms that I experience when my B12 is off too. Extra weepy, which is out of character for me. For me, sickness makes me require a bit more B12.

A trace mineral supplement with copper may be helpful. Or you can eat more Irish potatoes with something fatty. Irish potatoes have 610mcg.

Copper deficiency has similar symptoms to B12, and healing B12 depletes copper. Low copper levels can also affect immunity.

Also, copper is important for iron transport.

Make sure not to take it with things that can compete for its absorption like iron.

Get lots of rest and take extra b12. I've been going through something similar as I think my body is just worn out from always being sick, among stress and other things. I kept getting dehydrated, but was urinating frequently, and had the weird death comes to you type anxiety.

Long story short, I am treating my adrenals for adrenal fatigue. It is actually helping. I'm getting lots of sleep (no caffeine), taking adrenal support supplements, sucking on granules of celtic sea salt, taking 4 - 250 mg Magnesium Glycinate capsules a day including all the other vitamins and amino acids. I have also had to increase my daily injections to 2mls, three times a day after a recent surgery and an increase in urinating and dehydration; plus low blood pressure and increased heart rate type symptoms.

I read somewhere that B12 deficiency can negatively affect your adrenals making it harder for your body to react to and recover from various stressors by not releasing appropriate amounts of cortisol; the stress hormone.

For me right now I am seeing slow improvement, but it is obvious improvement after beginning to slide back down hill after 6 months of B12 loading doses; following several illnesses and a surgery. This may not be what is going on, but I hope it helps.
