I’ve taken B12 vials, needles and syringes as hand luggage boarding both a plane and a ferry and it’s never been picked up. I’ve also put it all in hold luggage on a plane.

I’m always incredibly nervous that it will be spotted and seen as a problem. Having said that, I am lucky that I get a monthly B12 vial on repeat prescription from my GP so I always take the prescription with me in the hope that would help if I was asked questions.

Should be fine .Diabetics carry insulin.

Useful if on prescription as no questions at all then.

I few from Spain where I live to Gatwick and back a month ago and also went through security for a cruise. I carried my ampoules , syringes and needles in my hand baggage. I put them in a separate clear bag going through security and wasn't questioned.

I’ve flown to Turkey, South Africa, uk and taken my supplies with me in my hand luggage. No issue! No one even looked! I had my doc note with me but no one even asked.

I've done the Tunnel to France a couple of times since self injecting with no problem, but was a bit concerned about my first flights last week. BA's advice is to pack medicines - including needles and syringes - in hand baggage in their original packaging if possible. I put all my bits into a clear plastic container along with my B12 prescription and letter from consultant. Didn't get it out of my bag at security and had no problems on outward or return journey. Even found a very dinky travel sharps box! Hope you have a great trip.

I recently flew. I was advised to put sharps in hold luggage. So I was a bit anxious, if my suitcase disappeared. I knew I could get injections where I was going. In the end it was all perfectly alright and not queried at all.
