Right now on Christmas day, I am sitting completely exhausted having had some family yesterday. I can t manage this stress without becoming exhausted and with worsening neurological spts. I am burning, the middle of mi is burning, from waist down my legs. I have this since april 2022, started injections in october the same year, since summer 2023 some days are better wich give me hope. Just got back to i m injections, by my own decision. Drs believes ” it is all in your head, and your problem is the blood building in my bone marrow”. But I insists taking my injections, but having guests in Christmas eve just turned me back a year in spts.

Have anyone noticed connection with stressfull events and worsening of spts? I just feel totally drained today. I dont drink any alcohol at all. At the moment I take injection every day i m.

Grateful to hear about your experiance of stress and worsening spts!🎄🙏😔

Hi Annaunge

So sorry to read of your experience.

From my perspective stress and more symptoms go hand in hand.

I increase my injection frequency to cope. It certainly helps.

Hope you manage to recover and enjoy the festive break.

Hi Annaunge,

It is not Stress per se, it is :-

1) More activity

2) More stimulation such as more lights and more sound.

The sound is conversations. It takes energy to :

a) Listen

b) Understand and concentrate

c) Reply

You had a BIG day yesterday. You entertained, you were the hostess. So, you need to recover from it. Part of the Nervous System is called Rest and Digest.

So, watch some nice films for your body to heal. Be gentle with your body so it can Recover.

😘

Exactly that.

I had more frequent injections beforehand and rewarded myself afterwards with some slower days watching cartoons and films. Now back on track.

It is far easier these days to get this right and get a quicker bounceback.

I've found the last 2 Christmas days more difficult cognitively, ie since injecting. I don't know of it's linked

Stress is a major culprit for symptom return and relapse. So is excitement, any kind of stimulation like being in a social group of people. And on and on. Five months ago I decided to minimise my life. No traveling, no driving (a very bad idea because my brain works overtime with constant, multiple stimuli) very little exercise, just sticking to a domestic-centred, quiet life. After 5 months it's paying dividends and in 2024 I look forward to testing my progress out. Gently. I'm marking a year of EOD SC SI and taking a large number of co-factors. The experiment continues....

I had my family around on Christmas Eve, including my two grandbabies. By six o'clock I was thinking isn't it about time you all went home? I'm exhausted! They all finally went at seven and I spent the rest of the evening pretty much unable to get off the sofa! Christmas day was spent quietly watching good(ish) TV, because I didn't have the energy for anything else.

Just the same as me! And you think it is because of B12 def disease? Seems logical. But terribly how big this disease sets limits to your life, my life……❤️

I have lots of Auto Immune diseases - I always joke that I collect them on my way through life. 😆 Auto immune stuff does tend to sap energy. I think December is a stressful month all round and often leaves even a healthy person feeling tired, so we have no hope.

I understand completely how you are feeling. Additional stress which Christmas 🎄 brings and entertaining is totally exhausting. Have a chill out day. Bath 🛁 PJs, a film or a good book and some snacks. My prescription 😊That's what I am doing today. Me time is vital for our well being. Have a great rest of the Christmas 🎄 holidays 😊
