Hello everyone. I had the Covid booster 2 weeks ago. I had an appointment booked for blood tests 4 days later. These were to rule in or out the cause of Osteopenia - low bone density mass.I now have Covid.
Nurse rang me with blood test results yesterday and said they were normal apart from the Immunoglobin one which should be at 2 but was 2.7. She said it was too scientific for her -- it certainly is for me ! --and that she would ask a GP what it means.
Nurse rang back later to say GP wants me to have Immunoglobin test repeated in 2 weeks.
I asked if it could be to do with Pernicious Anaemia which I have had for 36 years. I am 67 now. Nurse said the GP didn't mention it.
I wonder if the level was elevated either because of PA (we all know that GPs have little understanding of it) or because of the Covid vaccine itself or alternatively if I unknowingly had Covid when the blood tests were taken π€
Does anyone have scientific knowledge of Immunoglobin tests please ?
It takes 7 - 14 days I read for the vaccine to be effective so be careful out there !
Stay safe and well π everyone.
