Hi, first time to post anywhere about condition, thanks in advance for any advice as I am pretty desperate. Diagnosed circa 2007 with P.A and after b12 loading Injections long term 12 weekly.Placed on 8 weekly hydrocobalamin about 5 yrs ago bur increasingly feeling tired , fatigue , lack of focus concentration irritation vertigo neuropathy/ muscular pain etc all classic PA symptoms which have all got progressively worse last 12 maths or so.GP , who has been supportive suggests I see a specialist haematologist , which I agree with.

What I wondered is does anyone know of specialist with an interest in the complexities of this disease , ideally in South wales area or further afield.

I feel my body is crying out for more B12 , I get no uplift after each Injection also I know Folate is also implicated in the biochemistry of cobalamin. Any advice would be gratefully received.

The Pernicious Anaemia Society has an active support group in South Wales, you could reach out to them via the Charity website as they may be able to help you with local experience

Sorry to hear you are suffering. Some people experience the need for injections on a more regular basis. They do this by self-injections. I do this and feel so much more in control, especially if I have a busy day a head of me.Maybe it's something to consider as it sounds in what you've said you need more.. which is common as we get older.

Good luck... I have to dash, I'm sure someone will help in where you can buy Hydro and what goes with it.

I've sent you a message re B12 specialist. Self-injection, taking back control over your health's the only way forward I think.

I need B12 every 2-3 weeks. My husband gives me the shots so I don't have to go to the doctor.
