Hi everyone,Hope we're doing better today. I have been on methyl cobalamin capsules (meconerv forte) for three months now. I was on 1 tablet (1000mcg) daily. I didn't notice much improvement and the doc increased to 2 tab(2000mcg) daily. Fatigue improved but I still have chronic insomnia, anxiety, depression and electric shock as part of my main symptoms. I have been taking ligaba to ease the nerve pains but I can hardly sleep or maintain sleep for long. This has so much affected my cognitive function. Can someone with past/present experience help me please? Just in need. Thanks.

Hi Orimini
Sorry to read. It sounds as though you may have an absorption problem so oral methylcobalamin would be ineffective. It is worth discussing with your doctor ‘the route of administration’ of this chemical substance. The ‘gold standard’ is intramuscular injection. The current situation can be described as ‘drug treatment failure.’
Orimini, it is knowing the phrases that are used in the medical/pharmacological world so that you can have a more informed conversation.
Also you should have good ferritin (so, an iron panel), folate and the other vitamin B’s levels. They all work together.
Best wishes.

For PA tablets won't help, nor will capsules, skin patches, etc.. 'Sublingual' in massive doses 25000µg at a time can see some absorption but not a lot. Injections WILL work. Don't suffer any longer, take the plunge.
